“Help us to remember that our days are numbered,
and help us to interpret our lives correctly.
Set your wisdom deeply in our hearts so that we may accept Your correction.”
Psalms 90:12
Truth: Our Spirit man is way older than our flesh.
The transition is mapped as follows; Eternity~>Time~>Eternity.
Our spirit man stepped out of eternity, an amazing lifestyle of worship in Papa’s presence to take on the form of flesh, time, for an assignment. Thus knowing Papa better than our flesh does.
It is the voice of reason, to the why we are constantly called to die to self and walk in the spirit; there’s a clarity in the constant communion with the Trinity.
Simply put: Our spirit is alive to God.
Why then would Papa have us step into time for such a brief moment?
It definitely wasn’t for a different experience to slap it on our resume😕.
Neither was it for our entertainment.
It is for far much more a greater course than our ‘extras’. We are reminded that He has set purpose in our hearts.
That’s the assignment. That’s our focus.🤓
Not to just live through life’s musings with no given direction but to come in and get our work done. Fulfill the purpose God has laid out for us.
Yeah, I know.😂
Far from what one would like to hear. Mostly secretly hoping that you’d just get by and make it to the other side; the bare minimum to get off the hook.
Well, that’s possible.
There are however, other factors to look into as well:
Papa’s desire for us as His children is not only to live large in all aspects but also, to die empty. Every resource poured out, to ensure there’s a generation that is a beneficiary of His working in you. For us to place a demand on Him as the Author and Finisher of our race.
To each there’s a work assigned to and a provision made for it. We shall, thus, be called to account for whatever had been placed under our stewardship.
There’s too, a cost pegged on our obedience.😊
A scary truth, nevertheless, one that we can’t shake off or undo.🥺
But isn’t it prolific to say the least?
That Paul would yearn more for eternity than stay around longer?🧐
The confidence in which he walked in as he gives us perspective of this journey is mind boggling🙆🏽♀️;
“Alive, I’m Christ’s messenger;
dead, I’m His bounty.
Life versus even more life!
I can’t lose.”
That last bit, friend😱. C.O.N.F.I.D.E.N.C.E. 😎.
This verse though, such a beautiful reminder on the necessity that is in adjusting our perception.
Hence why King David the Psalmist in 90:12 seeks to learn how to number his days as there’s a wisdom needed to maneuver and accomplish what God has set for us. Provision for rerouting in that pursuit.
Living each day under the awareness of having it make a difference, thus placing a demand.
We are therefore, tasked to seek His heart over our assignment. These answers can only be found in Papa and He is more than gracious enough to download it our way.
If you are walking in the knowledge of it, hit the ground running friend and step out of the multiple what if’s.
We are all on borrowed time.
Tick Tock it goes. 🕰
