Our God speaks.
In accents clear and still, His friend Abraham can testify of it.
He also does so in coded language that seeks us to dig deeper:
I bet King Belshazzar’s unforgettable surprise in his party did not leave him too ecstatic.
It had Daniel sweep in, as the Spirit led, for an interpretation.
He can use the inanimate;
Burning bushes are not too far fetched, ask Moses.
The pillars of clouds and fire aren’t so absurd either, the Children of Israel had a front seat at that.
How can I forget the 🐳 that had Jonah recognize Papa meant exactly what He said.
He can use those that speak a language different than us, ask Balaam about his donkey.
He can even use your enemies to send a message to you as confirmation, ask Gideon while he stood behind the Midianite’s tent.
He met Daniel at his secret place through a messenger, an angel, and spoke through him.
It definitely was not King David’s cup of tea when Prophet Nathan came bearing heavy realities as instruction.
At times He even manifests in person to silence our fears but most especially those that afflict us, the four Hebrew boys know that too well.
Papa goes on and on to remind us He is not lost at how to communicate to His own.
He finds us right there where we are at.
In the deep of the night He still instructs us; Even at that hour He is speaking.
We can call it asking pertinent questions perhaps? Maybe giving answers to those heart felt desires, if not both.
Solomon can’t miss a word on this for sure .
His is pure wonder and awe.
Not forgetting baby Samuel that was lost at first before Eli put it in perspective for him.
Amidst the storms that leave us in survival mode, He still speaks:
Being in the wine press threshing wheat doesn’t sound too glamorous, ay?
Even there, He still found Gideon and spoke.
The Samaritan woman at the well had a rather uncomfortable one on one with the Messiah.
Even at the place of thirst and shame, God still spoke to her heart.
It is the reason why the temple curtains tore in half.
He removed the middleman and the charade that was, to let you know:
He will find you❤️.
In the simplicity of these moments,
He still is speaking.
In the messiness that it maybe,
He will come for you.
Even the clay pots find use in the Master’s House❤️.
