Our beautiful backdrop is found in Joshua chapter four.
The children of Israel were crossing over to their land of promise under the able leadership of Joshua, one out of the two remnants from Moses’s days just because they choose to see their big God in a place where the other ten saw impossibilities when they went to scout the given land over 40 years prior.
It was finally happening y’all!
So surreal 😭😭.
Then even before they could begin to make heads or tails of it, the Lord speaks with a specific word of direction.
One of those that seemingly are 🤨.
‘…Take one man chosen from each tribe and have them pick a stone in the midst of Jordan from the place where the priests’ feet are standing firm…’
Ah😂😂.
So wait!
We have just gotten done crossing the Jordan River.
You need us to send back 12 men to just pick stones and carry them to the place we are going to set up camp tonight?🤣
Wueeeeh!🙆🏽♀️
Joshua pushes it a notch higher and decided, why not two?😂
So he set up another monument right next to the feet of the priests carrying the ark of the covenant on the Jordan River bed.
The instruction given to the children of Israel might have sounded absurd.
How now?
Then again, I bet the experience was not as new to them😅.
It was simple.
Let each tribe representative carry up a stone and raise a monument.
What for?
As a place of remembrance.
Why?
It was to stir faith, dispel disbelief and a reminder to the generations to come that they can tap into the faithfulness of God.
Absurd it seemed? Probably.
Why would they need to have something to use as a memorial of wonders beyond comprehension?
A God move is sized in a manner that it stands unforgettable, isn’t it so?
Over the past three months, God has been clear over the need for such.
He has been on a spree to set up those memorials for His children.
Smack in the middle of the stirring of an awakening.
At the tipping point of transition and manifestation.
It may seem insignificant or rather unnecessary.
Nevertheless, it is not uncalled for.
The faith generals were ordinary men/women like us standing on the platform of His faithfulness against a pillar of such monuments.
Sarah’s awareness of where the authority of her faith stemmed from was backed up by choosing to refer to that place, the reminders of God’s faithfulness.
The upsurge climb on the next few is an extreme faith journey that is truly not beyond us.
The supernatural is bursting forth into the natural realm and we will be walking in greater manifestation than ever experienced before.
Therefore, Papa knows we need these monuments, our faith will need constant stirring for this great crash course.
The reminder that He used ordinary people for extraordinary things as well serves to encourage through the equipping.
So don’t be quick to brush off the monuments being arisen.
Don’t despise even those that feel insignificant.
They are the spaces we shall refer to even as we forge on the journey that is ahead.
Those that we shall speak of when asked,
‘What do these stones mean?’
It is for those behind us to steady themselves on.
For those gone before us to pride over.
For it to be as clear as day,
Whom you belong to and act as a display of His nature.
A grandiose display over how He loves.
Thus Little One,
given the awareness that this journey truly will not come free of the whispers either from within or without.
We forge ahead from a place of enlightenment with the understanding of His assurance:
‘…where the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord shall lift up a standard against him and he shall be put to flight..’
Our mantra through the noises that may threaten to silence even in the next coming season will remain to be:
He has done it and it is marvelous in our sight.
If He did it before, He can do it again.
Hugs and Kisses❤️❤️
